Alberta Newsprint Company (ANC) offers a total of $4,250 per year in scholarships to graduating high school students in the Whitecourt area. The following are offered:
A minimum of two applicants per school must be received. If not, a second overall recipient will receive scholarship dollars in the amount of $750.
ANC and its employees wish to support the broad needs of our community for trained, skilled, and educated individuals to fill employment and community service roles in the future.
Our hope is that scholarship assistance will be an encouragement for local students to pursue a trades education at an accredited technical school or vocational institution.
Graduating students who have not reached the age of 25 years old at the time of application are eligible to apply.
Applications must be received prior to 11:59 pm on May 15 to be considered. Questions or inquiries, and completed applications can be sent to scholarship@albertanewsprint.com
