Millar Western Forest Products Ltd.’s Whitecourt Pulp Division is currently seeking a Certified Heavy-Duty Mechanic. The successful candidate will provide quality mechanical repair services to our Whitecourt pulp operations inclusive of the yard operations, Mobile Equipment, Heede Crane and Woodroom facility. The successful candidate will carry out necessary preventative maintenance, and diagnosing and remedying malfunctions as they arise.
The ideal applicant will have a Heavy-Duty Mechanic Trade Certification with five years of experience in an industrial setting. A secondary trade certificate (Millwright/Welder) in addition to experience on Portal Cranes, Cat, Komatsu and Liebherr mobile equipment (i.e. Forklift, Wheel Loader, Butt-n-top loader, Rock Truck, etc.) would be considered an asset. Proven troubleshooting skills and an ability to work as part of a team are essential.
