Millar Western Forest Products Ltd. is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and well-organized professional to join our Wood Products Division in Whitecourt, Alberta as Human Resources Manager. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be an integral member of both our site operations leadership and corporate human resources teams. This position will directly support employees and leadership in a wide range of human resources activities including but not limited to: employee engagement, organizational development, benefits administration, recruitment, and training, as well as the implementation of strategic human resources initiatives.

The ideal candidate:
The preferred candidate will be a passionate advocate for employees, working collaboratively with others in a manner aligned with our core values of safety, honesty, integrity trust, and respect. Strong business acumen and a sound understanding of HR metrics and analytics are essential, as is a demonstrated ability to build relationships, coach, mentor, and influence others at all levels of the organization. Post-secondary education in human resources or related fields is required, with CHRP designation and previous experience working in a wood products manufacturing environment considered assets.
