The Purchasing Team Leader is responsible for acquiring goods, service and supplies for Maintenance and Operations. The position also has ownership for the division’s warehouse, inventory level and accuracy in addition to supervision of the Mill Stores Clerks. The expectation is to work within budgets, meeting time deadlines and ensuring that materials and supplies are both cost effective and available when needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous purchasing experience
- Warehouse experience and inventory management skills
- General knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Experience with a computerized maintenance system
- Previous supervisory experience
- Purchasing certification and/or qualifications are an asset
- Excellent people and communication skills
- Ability to effectively negotiate
