Millar Western Forest Products Ltd.’s Fox Creek, Alberta Wood Products Division is currently seeking a Certified Heavy Duty Mechanic. The successful candidate will provide quality mechanical repair services to our Fox Creek solid wood operations, carrying out necessary preventative maintenance, and diagnosing and remedying malfunctions as they arise.

The ideal candidate

The ideal applicant will have a Heavy Duty Mechanic Trade Certification and five years of experience in an industrial setting. Experienced 3rd and 4th-year Apprentices would also be considered. A background working with CAT mobile equipment (i.e. Forklift, Loader, Skid Steer, Rock Truck, etc.) to be viewed as an asset.  Proven troubleshooting skills and an ability to work as part of a team are essential.
