Description

Reporting to the Mill Reliability Department Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing major elements of the electrical maintenance program in the mill.

Responsibilities

  • Support Weyerhaeuser’s safety values as both a leader and an employee.
  • Provide technical support in troubleshooting electrical issues and providing recommendations for repair.
  • Participate and/or lead root cause analysis investigations.
  • Monitor the health of the electrical systems.
  • Develop and execute plans to continuously improve the electrical maintenance system and results.
  • Lead critical maintenance tasks at major shutdowns.

Qualifications

  • The successful candidate will have at least 5 years experience in a maintenance position in heavy industry.  The minimum education requirement is an Electrical Engineering Degree or Diploma.

In addition the candidate will require:

  • A strong commitment to working safely and protecting the safety of others.
  • A record of providing coaching and leadership to others.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with electrical and power distributions systems.
  • Experience working with Modicon and Rockwell PLC’s is preferred.
  • Experience working with instrumentation systems.
