Spray Lake Sawmills (SLS) is a family owned company ideally located in Cochrane Alberta, in the
southern east slopes of Alberta between Calgary and Banff National Park. The company operates under
two Forest Management Agreements and a coniferous timber quota in a highly integrated portion of the
Province. Our business has been operating since 1943. We are a strong community supporter and
provide direct employment to approximately 200 families. We have a standard of excellence in all we

SLS has an opening on its Woodlands Team for a Log Haul Supervisor. Responsibilities include log
haul scheduling, route approvals, overload reporting, cycle time analysis, securing log haul contractors
and working with the harvest planners and supervisors on road planning, construction and maintenance.
Familiarity with Log Inventory Management System (LIMS), GPS tracking systems, Alberta Legislation and
Alberta Operating Ground Rules are an asset.

Candidates would ideally come with at least 5 years of applicable experience and have good
interpersonal skills in dealing with contractors. Must have a valid class 5 driver’s licence and eligibility
for registration in the Alberta Association of Forest Management Professionals is an asset.
