Spray Lake Sawmills is located in Cochrane which is just 15 minutes west of Calgary and 45 minutes east of Canmore. We are currently hiring a Maintenance Supervisor.
Top candidates must have extensive supervisory and sawmill millwright experience, working directly in a hands-on role, maintaining, trouble shooting and repairing numerous milling systems. Knowledge of Newnes, Optimill, VKB, Nicholson systems is preferred. Experience with compressors and product handling conveyors, grinding and screening equipment is also needed.
This role will report to the Maintenance Superintendent and the candidate will be capable of leading a team, scheduling comprehensive repairs, training and coaching team members in the millwright and welding trades. Weekend work is required as a large part of this role is to manage weekend repairs and projects.
