Our Hinton Wood Products Woodlands Team has an opportunity for a professional forester for the following role:

PLANNING FORESTER

Based out of Hinton and reporting to the Planning Superintendent, the Planning Forester will take primary responsibility for the development and submission of all annual plans required to operate on company tenures. Your duties will include timber and access reconnaissance, field layout, supervision of contract layout, liaison with government, First Nations, Trappers, oil and gas operators and other stakeholders. Other duties may include DFMP planning, assisting with harvest supervision, and silviculture projects. This position offers a balanced mix of field and office work, while being home every night.

Candidates for this position should be registered as Forest Practitioner in Alberta as an RPF or RFT. A minimum of three years planning experience is required for this role. Candidates with other forestry experience with a desire to expand their career as an operational planner will also be considered.
