Millar Western Forest Products Ltd.’s Whitecourt, Alberta Wood Products Division is currently seeking a Certified Heavy Duty Mechanic. The successful candidate will provide quality mechanical repair services to our Whitecourt solid wood operations, carrying out necessary preventative maintenance, and diagnosing and remedying malfunctions as they arise.
The ideal candidate
The ideal applicant will have a Heavy Duty Mechanic Trade Certification with five years of experience in an industrial setting, preferably in a sawmill environment. Experience on Cat, Komatsu, and Liebherr mobile equipment (i.e. Forklift, Wheel Loader, Butt-n-top loader, Rock Truck, etc.), is an asset. Proven troubleshooting skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.
