Millar Western’s Whitecourt Pulp Division is seeking a Journeyman Millwright. This individual will play a critical role in minimizing plant downtime by managing the predictive maintenance program for his or her section of the plant. Duties will include rebuilding rotating equipment, and oil- and-vibration routes and root-cause failure analysis. This position will start as a day-shift position (10-hours) but will involve shift work in future.
The ideal candidate
Preference will be given to red-seal certified, ticketed millwrights with experience in an industrial maintenance setting. Candidates must also show a strong commitment to safety. Applicants will hold a valid driver’s license and be capable of working at heights and in confined spaces. Adaptability to change, ability to work with minimal supervision and a positive attitude are essential.
